TabTrade - The Honest Breakdown

The Broker — The Short Version

TabTrade.com launched in Q1 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, licensed through Saint Lucia's FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was on the executive team at BlackBull Markets, the well-known broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It suggests the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. That is not a guarantee. But more reassuring than someone with no brokerage experience.

They launched with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. Tab Trade led with infrastructure. Interesting choice.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, shares, crypto, ETFs. A wide spread. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that coverage is not narrow.

What You Trade On

They offer: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from one account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Getting both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.

MT5 is what most people know. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, massive community. If you have used MetaTrader previously, you know exactly what you are getting.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Smoother chart interaction. Native automated trading. Many people find it more natural after using both.

FIX API is available for automated strategies but is only on the VIP account ($25k minimum). TradingView is said to be on the roadmap. That should round things out once it is live.

What You Pay

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.

Edge. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade can sit below 0.5 pips. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most platforms that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. Tab Trade does not.

VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, sub-20ms execution, negotiated fees. Not for the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The speed is where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at hundreds of milliseconds.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you hold positions longer, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That says they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Combine that infrastructure with the Edge account pricing and what you get holds up. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.

The FSRA Question

This is the part that matters. The broker is under the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No CySEC. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.

But. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The execution setup is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in tier-1 data centre access. None of this replace tier-1 regulation. It should inform your assessment.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense depends on you.
